Outdoor Wedding at The Woodlands, Hothorpe Hall
Becca and Stu’s wedding was one of those days you just never forget! Set in the stunning Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall, their big day was the perfect mix of laid-back vibes, natural beauty, and a whole lot of fun. From saying “I do” surrounded by trees to relaxing in a cosy tipi under the stars, every moment created memories to last for a lifetime.
Set in the serene woodland area of The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall, Becca and Stu’s ceremony took full advantage of the natural beauty surrounding them. The outdoor setting was the ideal backdrop for an intimate ceremony. It felt so secluded, as though we could have been anywhere in the world.
What truly stole the show was the floral installations. With a palette of soft pastel blue and pinks and white, the floral arrangements were nothing short of breath-taking. Guests were greeted at the entrance to the ceremony area with stunning urns either side, with aisle meadows flowing through the seating. A broken arch wowed at the front, and framed the space for Becca and Stu to say their vows.
Becca and Stu hired in their styling items including napkins, candles, stationery and signage, and the full setup and styling were included as a part of my bespoke wedding planning service. The combination of hired styling elements and my expertise in setup ensured that everything came together beautifully. From the tables adorned with pastel blue napkins to their own wedding newspaper on each table, I absolutely loved setting this one up.
One of the standout moments of the day was Becca and Stu’s grand entrance to their wedding breakfast. They made an unforgettable entrance to an acoustic version of "Here Comes the Hotstepper", which had everyone cheering, clapping and swinging their napkins! It was a perfect reflection of Becca and Stu as a couple who don’t do things in a boring way – they wanted to inject fun into every part.
True to Becca and Stu’s style, they wanted their guests to have the best time. After the ceremony, everyone got to join in on a game of outdoor golf. It was such a fun and chilled-out way to keep things lively, and honestly, everyone loved it! It was the perfect chance for guests to have a laugh, bond, and just enjoy the day together.
The band kicked off the evening entertainment and believe me when I say Becca and Stu know how to get down on the dance floor (if you know, you know!). After the first dance as Mr and Mrs, the upbeat Motown music kept the guests busy while the drinks were flowing.
As the sun went down, the tipi came alight, and it was the perfect spot for the evening. Mixing cosy vibes with a touch of style, it fit perfectly with the woodland setting. The warm lighting and comfy furnishings made it super inviting, giving everyone a laid-back space to chill, chat, and just enjoy the night.
